A significant proposal from the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) could dramatically change the rules governing federal grants, cooperative agreements, and other federal awards. Grant consultants as well as nonprofit leaders are concerned that the proposed changes in the Uniform Guidance could increase administrative burdens, reduce efficiency, and ultimately make it more difficult for organizations to deliver services to their communities.
The Grant Professionals Association (GPA) has joined the National Council of Nonprofits, AFP Global, and other nonprofit leaders in a National Day of Action on November 10. Lawmakers need to hear directly from nonprofit professionals, grant managers, and community stakeholders about the real-world consequences these changes could have on programs and services across the country. Our voices are critical in this conversation.
