The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services is offering $4 million in funding to support the creation of four Transformative Youth Justice Hubs across the state. These Hubs will act as cross-sector collaboratives led by a fiscal/coordinating partner—such as a nonprofit organization, school district, or higher education institution—focused on youth justice prevention and system transformation. Rather than delivering direct services, Hubs will coordinate local responses by bringing together youth, families, communities, and stakeholders to develop equitable, community-driven solutions that support well-being and reduce juvenile justice system involvement. Awardees will work closely with the Youth, Family, and Community Toward Success (YFACTS) Center to guide planning, evaluation, and scalability over the three-year contract period.
Applicants must demonstrate organizational capacity, community need, collaborative partnerships, data proficiency, and alignment with existing justice models. Funding is federally provided via the OJJDP and requires compliance with various eligibility and reporting standards. Each Hub may receive up to $1 million, and activities will progress through distinct planning, implementation, evaluation, and sustainability phases. Applications must be submitted through the DCJS Grants Management System by 12:00 PM EST on July 30, 2025.
